Horn ~ Vandlandingham Wedding

What a beautiful day this was in early May!  May tends to be my busiest month of all – even surpassing the “wedding month” of June.

The wedding was, at that time, my biggest one yet!  I was a little nervous but it all turned out lovely.  The purple and green colors carried well throughout the wedding.

Bridal bouquet – all purple hydrangeas, lisianthus, stock, and ‘Cool Water’ roses wrapped in white satin ribbon with purple and white rhinestone bracelets (bouquet bling).

Bridesmaid bouquet – green hydrangeas, ‘cool water’ purple roses, purple carnations, purple lisianthus, and green hypericum berries.

Entrance to sanctuary.  Aisles flanked with trailing flowers and greenery leading to the candle garden and cross garland.

Close-up of aisle decorations.  Hydrangeas, roses, lisianthus, stock, and hybrid delphinium.

Reception decorations: each vase stood approximately 5.5′ tall and contained various flowers. White dendrobium orchid stems were inverted into every vase.

Some tables alternated smaller versions of the larger decorations.

Cake flowers – bluebird roses, white and purple lisianthus, purple stock, white dendrobium orchids, and green hypericum berries.

About alteague3828

My name is Anna and I am a floral artist and a newbie at this diy project thing. I have been a florist for the better part of 15 years and love doing weddings in my "spare time". But my passion for pretty things doesn't stop there. I also fancy purchasing "junk" and giving it new life. And I try to show people how transforming these pieces doesn't have to break the bank. I hope this blog inspires you!
