Red Wedding Bouquet

So….have you noticed I haven’t done weddings in a while? Yeah, me too. I really do miss it. I got a new position at work and unfortunately, it is not as laid back as my old position. Therefore, I don’t have as much time to work on flowers as I used to. I have, however, had bouquet requests from friends of friends (of friends, of friends….). Those are manageable. Here is the latest one:

Red Bouquet

A lovely bouquet of all red Gerbera daisies, ‘Charlotte’ roses, zinnias, and Indian Blanket (from my own backyard). All wrapped in a burlap and lace handle and oversized brown button. Perfect for a country wedding!

Roles Wedding

Soft pastel colors and locally grown product keep this wedding very “I just picked these out of my gramma’s backyard”. Bridle Creek Ranch is a perfect setting that allows you to take advantage of the beautiful surroundings instead of spending a fortune decorating it. I highly recommend it as the next spot for your event!

Bridal bouquet of soft pink dahlias, pink and purple zinnias, white Queen Anne’s Lace, pink gomphrena, purple veronica, autumn blooming clematis,¬†green berzillia berries, and lamb’s ear wrapped in a twine handle with turqoise colored sheer ribbon.

I added a sprig of spearmint from my backyard to the inside of this bouquet so it had a pleasant and calming affect for the bride ūüôā I hope it helped her to relax!

Ceremony aisles were lined with mason jars of wildflowers on shephard’s hooks.

Mason jars contained zinnias, sedum, Queen Anne’s Lace, lamb’s ear, monte casino, and berzillia berries.

Reception tables contained various shapes and sizes of vases with free-form arrangements in each. Most consisted of zinnias, Queen Anne’s Lace, berzillia berries, sedum, gomphrena, monte casino, and purple veronica.

The bridal party table held all bouquets in blue mason jars.

Boutonnieres were white monte casino daisies, pink gomphrena, and green berzillia berries wrapped in twine.

Fall weddings are among my best work.  Something about all those sunset colors just brings out the beauty of the flowers.  Oklahoma has some incredible wildflowers so when brides request fall colors, I know things like celosia, solidago, and zinnias are going to be perfect for the job and pretty inexpensive since they are locally grown!  Throw a few maple leaves in there and you have the makings of a perfect Oklahoma fall wedding.

Color palette of red, orange, and yellow.

Bridal bouquet of orange celosia, yellow with red tip mini calla lilies, yellow solidago, and red gerbera daisies wrapped with red, orange, and yellow twine for the handle.

Purples, greens, and sunflowers make up this wedding!  This wedding was held locally at Bennett Chapel on the Oklahoma State University campus and accross the street in the ConocoPhillips Alumni Center.  Two very popular places to get married here in Stillwater.
